Douglas Schmidt, Real Estate Agent

Doug Schmidt is a Long Island boy through and through. Yes, he is a loyal life-long Yankees and (no matter how much they lose) Jets fan! He worked in the apparel industry for close to 20 years after attending Wagner College. He worked for Reebok and traveled around the World to places such as China, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Mexico, and India.

Besides real estate, he and his wife, Brick House Realty's founder, Maria Salomão-Schmidt, Doug owns a successful chain of dry cleaning stores in Massachusetts that he started in 1999. He believes he is the luckiest man in the world because he married "the woman of my dreams" and loves working with her getting people the home of their dreams!

Doug is a beloved father of five children who keep him on his toes. In 2006, his youngest daughter at the time Sophia, who had Down syndrome died suddenly. In her memory, Doug and Maria support many wonderful organizations that help people living with special needs. He believes they have much to teach all of us! Inspired by Sophia's death, he and Maria went down to New Orleans with Sherborn's Unitarian Church to help rebuild after Katrina hit and our government abandoned the people there. They are planning to go back because there is still a lot of work there that needs to be done.

For many years he has coached local youth teams in soccer, baseball, lacrosse and football. Last year, his football team, the Panthers were Super Bowl champs.

Doug and real estate are a great mix! He loves negotiating the best deal for his clients, even if they are Red Sox fans!

Stephen Coukos, Real Estate Agent

Stephen Coukos got into real estate because he loves people. That may sound like a line until you meet Steve. This Massachusetts native is one of the most passionate, loyal and kind people you will ever meet.

He was born in Framingham and grew up in Medway. Stephen has two older brothers. He comes from a very tight-knit family. Stephen graduated from Medway High School where he played basketball and football. Interestingly enough his favorite subject in school was chemistry.
He now lives in Holliston.

Stephen is deeply inspired by people who came from nothing. He is constantly reading to improve his ability to help his clients and his co-workers. Before coming to work at Brick House Realty, Stephen worked in customer service jobs at local Massachusetts companies.
He also worked in welling for 3 years.

Stephen is a big believer in staying physically active and loves to swim, jog and exercise as part of being a well-rounded person. The people who work with Stephen are always impressed with how he can be so professional and so kind at the very same time.
